This case study will demonstrate our approach that ensures that every piece of the content post will generate high-quality links and the positive results that we achieved for 365Solutions with it.
Raising DA Score by 80% in 6 Months
One of the biggest indicators of our success with content marketing is the improved DA score. The website’s authority score increased by 80% in just six months, from 12 in November 2021 to 18 in May 2022
Banking on the content marketing strategy we created over the previous year, the trend continued further for the next two months, reaching 21. In addition, domain authority ranking can be used to foretell how well the website will do in search engine results. Therefore, having a high score increases the likelihood that your website will do well on search engine results pages (SERPs).

Leveraging the Potential of Blogging
The fact that blogging promotes website traffic is one of its key advantages. One can bring more people to their site by writing engaging and informative blog posts.
Blogging is a long-term approach that can produce results for years to come, unlike other content marketing initiatives. You can draw in new readers and gradually develop a devoted readership by producing high-quality content. For all these reasons, it becomes imperative for us to focus specifically on blogging services.
Choosing the Right Words
We understand that increasing traffic on a client’s website is important, but attracting the right audience is a necessity. To help your content reach the target market, you need to integrate the right keywords and key phrases into it.
Choosing keywords that will help you connect with your target market may take some time and research, but the effort will be worthwhile.
In the form of Semrush’s Keyword Magic Tool, we have a potent tool at our disposal to research specific subtopics and groups and assess a complete search market. It offers insightful data to use and stay ahead of our client’s competition. We generally tend to identify key phrases and long-tail search strings.
If you see the screenshot above, you can see that we have used this Semrush tool to identify such keywords for 365Solutions. For instance, these include key phrases like “cloud management,” “cloud asset management,” and “cloud managed services.”
However, these keywords need to be prioritized before we can create blog titles out of them. So, to find our high-priority keywords, two more indicators, keyword volume, and difficulty.
The former refers to how tough it is to rank a certain phrase in a search engine’s organic results. The latter is an SEO indicator that offers data on monthly keyword searches in a specific area. The below screenshot shows these two indicators related to the “cloud management” keyword:
Moreover, we search our client’s domain using the Organic Position Changes report to determine which keywords we are gaining and losing ground on. Finally, we use this data to examine the client’s website and track changes to the keyword ranks.
The image above displays changes in 365Solutions’ keyword positioning for 2021-22. As you can see, the highest number of keywords were added in March 2022.
Now is the time to create a list of prospective blog topics along with a schedule where we can add when the blogs need to be finished and released. The below screenshot shows how we create these blog plans:

The Results
The keyword research that we did help the organic traffic improve considerably over the last year (i.e., 2021-22). Additionally, organic keywords on the website have also been rising steadily in the period.
Looking at the organic traffic trend above, you’ll notice that it has been growing steadily from April 2021 (when we started working for 365Solutions) to November 2021. In December, the traffic shot up like a rocket to 850 a month. We could sustain this growth, and the traffic was still at 747 in April 2022.
Also, as shown in a diagram in the previous section, our position trends were highly positive in March 2022. Thirty-one keywords were added this month, and 17 were improved.
The above screenshot presents how organic keywords also showed a positive trend as they grew to 64 in April 2022, some of them being in top-3.
Skyrocket Growth in the Backlinking Trend
First of all, we surveyed 365Solution’s backlinking strategy to identify the loopholes and where we need to focus our efforts. We found that earning quality backlinks for this client was particularly challenging because there are many competitors in the cloud management industry, and it is not easy to stand out and grab the attention of the HARO (Help A Reporter Out) journalists. So here, too, we followed a structured approach to double the backlinks on their website.
It will not amount to boasting if we say that the results we achieved were astonishing. The referring domains grew more than twice, from 128 in October 2021 to 298 in May 2022. Backlinks recorded almost a similar growth, increasing from 1029 in November 2021 to 1863 in May 2022. You can attest to this success story from the images attached below.
We always put quality over quantity, which can be ascertained from the screenshot below. As we will discuss later, ODL does not just choose HARO queries based on whether they are relevant to the client’s particular niche; we also consider the authority of the publisher’s website.
This is the reason why 365Solution’s website has 62 referring domains from websites with an authority score of more than 40. These account for 23% of the total referring domains the client’s website has got.
Finding Relevant Queries for the Client
Starting with the client’s persona, we determined the pertinent HARO queries. Finding precise HARO questions for cloud management services was not very difficult as it is one of the technologies that impact all spheres of our lives.
So we generally surfed through the “Business & Finance” and “High Tech” categories to find relevant queries to the client’s business. On average, we got 50-60 relevant HARO queries every week. The above image shows one instance where we selected a query titled: “Best cloud storage solutions for individuals.”
Instead of focusing on every single HARO query, we dealt with those whose websites received strong DR and organic traffic. We also followed the mantra we already know but seldom followed: “Quality above quantity.”
As shown in the image above, we use Semrush’s Domain Search to look at the numbers behind a website to determine which queries need to be selected.
Responding to the Queries
Our strategy involved responding to and pitching at least six to seven HARO queries each week. We made the strategic and systematic decision to respond solely to the HARO questions that were pertinent and could benefit the client’s business.

As already shown in one of the sections above, we have effectively established more than 60 backlinks for 365Solutions from reputable and authoritative domains.
There was a noticeable increase in organic search engine traffic when the backlinks were from reliable and trustworthy websites. The client’s website traffic increased thanks to all the organic links acquired using HARO.
